"We just don't see this kind of customer service anymore "
In late 2009, I had a nasty surprise involving extensive rot caused by a faulty membrane seal on the roof of my enclosed porch.
What started out looking like a small homeowner repair job turned into a two-week reconstruction of the porch by a contractor.
It was a nightmare.
With minimal expectation of any coverage, I called my Co-op agent. She notified a claims adjuster, who came to my house the next morning, assessed the damage and its cause, communicated with my contractor, and authorized a check the next day.
In this day and age, we just don't see this kind of customer service anymore. I am highly impressed with Co-op's response and the people who made it happen. It is a pleasure having this kind of relationship with my agent and my claims adjuster. Before I switched coverage to Co-op, I was dealing with a faceless Connecticut company that was much better at raising my rates than at showing this kind of support.
